The aim of this course, our most popular, is to climb all 12 of the Skye Munros (11 on the Black Cuillin ridge plus Blaven), although the weather may affect ascents of more difficult peaks such as the Inaccessible Pinnacle.

You should be an experienced hillwalker, preferably have done some scrambling and be fit enough to complete several days of eight hours (or more) involving perhaps 4000 feet of ascent.

Classic Scrambles

Duration: 5 days    Minimum : Maximum numbers - 2 : 4
Cost: £290

Simply the best - the finest scrambling in the United Kingdom, bar none. We will choose from some combination of Sgurr nan Gillean by Pinnacle Ridge, the traverse of Clach Glas and Blaven, the classic round of Coire Lagan, the tops of Sgurr a' Mhadaidh and Bidean Druim nan Ramh, the Basteir Tooth by Collie's Route or a visit to the Cioch.

You should be an experienced hillwalker with some previous scrambling experience and the ability to abseil would be useful (but is not essential). You should be fit enough to complete several days of eight hours or more, involving at least 4000 feet of ascent.

Rock Climbing

Duration: 5 days    Minimum : Maximum numbers - 2 : 2 (1:1 at private guiding rate)

Intended as an introduction to rock climbing for novices, this course will concentrate on teaching the basics of equipment selection, belaying, placing protection and the physical skills required. Routes of up to Very Difficult standard will be climbed and clients may, depending on individual progress and confidence, have the opportunity to try leading.

NB - routes will be climbed in mountain boots unless you bring rock boots of your own.

Most climbs undertaken will be mountain routes so you will have to be fit enough for the approach walks and have the usual hill gear for your personal comfort and safety.
